The Plainfield Historical Society welcomes donations of artifacts, mementos, documents, photographs, and other items that reflect the history and heritage of Plainfield, Illinois, and its surrounding community. Items related to local families, businesses, institutions, and events are particularly valued.

All donations are accepted without restrictive conditions. The Society reserves the right to determine the appropriate use of each item. This includes the option to incorporate the donation into the permanent collection, transfer it to a comparable institution, or, if necessary, respectfully deaccession the item based on condition, redundancy, or relevance to Plainfield’s history. All decisions are made in accordance with the policies set forth by the Society’s Governing Board.
